Agent skill

Let your coding agent wire wapi up correctly the first time.

If you build with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or another agent, install the wapi-nextjs skill:

npx skills@latest add crafter-station/wapi --skill=wapi-nextjs

It carries a server-only client, a webhook route handler, and notes on the parts of this API that are not guessable from the endpoint names — so your agent writes the integration correctly instead of inferring it.

What it knows that an agent would otherwise get wrong

  • Which of the two credentials each call needs, and that using the wrong one is a 403 rather than a 401.
  • That inbound media arrives encrypted and has to go through decrypt-media before the bytes mean anything.
  • That a webhook handler must read the raw body, because JSON middleware consumes the stream and leaves nothing to verify a signature against.
  • That neither credential may reach the browser, enforced with server-only so a mistake becomes a build error rather than a leaked key.
  • That a sandbox is how you prove a handler works, instead of waiting for somebody to message you.

It does not ship its own client

Earlier versions did, which meant a second implementation of the same surface drifting away from the first. It now vendors the TypeScript SDK and adds only the Next.js parts: the server-only wrapper and the route handler.

Read a skill before you run it — skills execute with your agent's permissions.
